White Lace Backless Handmade Qipao

$615.00

Inspired by the grace of traditional Chinese qipao and reimagined for the modern woman, this ankle-length white lace dress is a statement of understated elegance. The intricate floral lace overlays a smooth inner lining, creating depth and texture without overwhelming the silhouette.

The mandarin collar and handcrafted pearl button closures along the side pay homage to classic design, while the low open-back detail introduces a contemporary, confident edge. This unique balance of tradition and modernity makes it an ideal choice for weddings, engagement parties, or evening gatherings.

Every qipao is handmade, ensuring attention to detail and a fit that flatters. The ankle-grazing length offers an elongated, graceful look, while the delicate lace adds a soft, romantic charm.

Cultural Inspiration

Rooted in the elegance of the traditional Chinese qipao, this design pays homage to a garment once worn as a symbol of grace and refinement. The mandarin collar and side fastening reflect the heritage of early 20th-century Shanghai, where East met West in fashion and lifestyle. By introducing a modern backless cut and using delicate lace instead of traditional silk, this piece bridges cultures — offering a timeless dress that honors its origins while embracing contemporary style.

How to Style This Cheongsam

- Wedding & Bridal Events
Pair with pearl or diamond stud earrings, a low chignon hairstyle, and ivory heels. A small satin clutch keeps the look refined, letting the lace and backless design take center stage.
- Evening & Formal Dinners
Style with gold statement earrings, a sleek ponytail, and strappy heels. A silk shawl in champagne or blush adds warmth without covering the intricate lace.
- Garden Parties & Daytime Celebrations
Match with delicate floral hair accessories, soft waves, and nude pumps or ballet flats. A pastel-toned handbag enhances the light, romantic mood.
- Cultural & Heritage Events
Combine with embroidered shoes or low heels, subtle jade or pearl jewelry, and a vintage-inspired clutch. Keep makeup natural to emphasize the dress’s traditional elegance.
- Cooler Seasons
Layer with a long wool coat in camel, cream, or black. Knee-high boots in soft leather create a modern East-meets-West contrast.

What Are Plackets & Necklines?

Plackets

placket is the opening on the front of a garment, usually used for buttons, knots, or zippers. Different placket designs create different visual effects.

Front-Opening

The placket sits at the center of the garment. It looks clean, symmetrical, and easy to style.

Diagonal Front Opening

The placket follows a slanted line from one side to the other. It adds a decorative, more distinctively East-Asian look.

Necklines

neckline shapes the upper contour of a garment and strongly influences the overall style.

Round Neck

Soft and minimal, easy to layer with different inner tops.

Mandarin Collar

Upright and structured, giving a clean, refined appearance with a subtle Asian-inspired touch.

Measuring Guide

Accurate bust, waist, and hip measurements form the critical foundation for proper size analysis. These dimensions must be meticulously taken using our official guidelines to ensure absolute precision.

How to Measure Your Body for Custom Sizing

1. Preparation
Wear only undergarments (bra and underwear). Have a soft measuring tape ready, and ask a friend or family member to assist for accurate measurements. Please measure in centimeters.

2. Measuring Technique
Let the tape rest gently against your skin—do not pull tight, and do not add extra allowance.

3. Key Measurement Points

Body height: Measure barefoot from vertex to heel in standing position.

- Bust: Pass the measuring tape through the bust point (BP), wrapping horizontally around the fullest part of the chest.

- Waist: Locate your natural waistline and measure its circumference (the narrowest part of the torso, typically near elbow level when arms hang naturally at your sides).

- Hips: Measure horizontally around the fullest part of the hips.

- Back Shoulder Width:Locate the shoulder width between acromion points, measuring with the tape passing over the back neck center point (BNP). The measuring tape will naturally curve slightly - do not force it straight.
